General Rules and Guidelines
  • Winning institutions are not eligible to apply for the award in the cycle following the one in which they won.
  • Institutions that did not win in previous cycles may submit a new application for the subsequent cycle.
  • All information obtained by the award’s general secretariat through evaluation and oversight processes is confidential between the award and the institution.
  • The marketing and media committee will notify or relay any information intended for the institution regarding the award via official email, which is considered formal notification.
  • The official email of the institution’s coordinator with the award is the approved contact.
  • The award may withhold prizes for one or more categories based on a recommendation from the award’s general secretariat and a decision from the Board of Trustees if there are sufficient justifications for withholding.
  • Judging, evaluation, and sorting committees are selected independently, ensuring no conflict of interest, with strict confidentiality regarding all submitted materials.
  • Institutions are prohibited from contracting any member of the award’s evaluation team for consulting or private work for two years from the date of evaluation.
  • Mandatory or optional participation fees are non-refundable, and participating institutions cannot claim a refund after payment.
  • The award has the right to conduct studies on the impact of the award and apply the award model to winning institutions.
  • The higher committee has the right to modify the award’s timeline.
  • The official language for all data and evaluations is Arabic.
Application Requirements
  • Applications for this award are available to all institutions within the geographical scope of Al-Ahsa.
  • All nominations must be submitted via the official website.
  • Applications must be submitted in Arabic.
  • The Al-Ahsa Excellence Award Administration reserves the right to verify the accuracy of nominations and the identity of the applicants, and to exclude any nomination that does not comply with the terms and conditions. Completion of at least 50% of the main and sub-criteria and submission of supporting documents is required. The award may exclude those who do not meet the minimum requirements.
  • The work should demonstrate diligence and excellence.
  • No penalties, sanctions, or work-related warnings should have been issued against the institution.
  • The institution must adhere to the timeline specified by the award administration and submit evidence and documents before the deadline for each stage.
  • Award-winning institutions must wait three years before reapplying for the award.
  • Decisions by the judging committees are final, based on the criteria and conditions set for each category.
  • The institution must designate a contact person with the award and grant them the authority to access and submit evidence and indicators.
  • The award has the right to utilize the submitted works for award marketing purposes.
  • The institution must cooperate with the evaluation team during site visits as per the schedule sent by the award administration.
  • Payment of participation fees must be made within the specified time.

  • Private general education: including private educational complexes (primary, intermediate, and secondary).
  • Private higher education: including private universities and colleges (Arab Open University).
  • Private health facilities: including private hospitals and similar specialized centers.
  • Large and medium-sized private production and service enterprises.
  • Private service enterprises.
Objectives of the Award
  • Enhance performance levels across the private sector in various fields through a set of criteria adopted from global and regional excellence models.
  • Provide clear criteria for evaluating and improving performance in the private sector to achieve excellence, leadership, and the ability to compete locally, regionally, and globally.
  • Activate the role of all community segments and individuals to contribute to building the future of Al-Ahsa and foster a spirit of competition among private sector institutions to develop the province.
  • Assist the private sector in Al-Ahsa in achieving advanced rankings and receiving local, regional, and international awards in institutional excellence.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, creativity, and innovation in the Al-Ahsa community, and improve performance and continuous development.
  • Keep up with best practices and successful experiences in institutional excellence.
  • Recognize and celebrate the efforts of the distinguished.
About the Award

The Al-Ahsa Excellence Award aims to honor and motivate distinguished individuals in the Al-Ahsa province. It is one of the initiatives of the Institutional Excellence Association in Al-Ahsa, launched under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Governor of Al-Ahsa and Chairman of the Award’s Board of Trustees. The award seeks to achieve excellence at both the institutional and individual levels, meeting the expectations of the Al-Ahsa community.
